The Water Module

Water Learning Partnership (2021)

The Water Module cover

The Water Module is an educational resource for secondary school students interested in exploring water-related topics in science, geography, or extracurricular clubs. It offers background information and hands-on learning activities to introduce key concepts in hydrology, geology, hydrogeology, water quality, and water management.

Originally developed in 2017 with schools in Kwale County, Kenya, where School Water Clubs piloted the activities with support from Gro for GooD research project partners, the module was revised in 2021 to support wider use. This update incorporated feedback from educators in Cameroon through a partnership with the In-Service Teacher Training Programme and Education Training Africa.

Teachers and facilitators can find a guide for using the module in classrooms and clubs on the Water Learning Partnership website’s resources page.
