On the 15th May, under the chairmanship of Shri Priyank Kharge, Honourable Minister, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, and in the presence of Shri L.K. Atheeq, ACS to the Honourable Chief Minister, a one-day workshop on Rural Drinking Water Services convened key government stakeholders, the World Bank, the University of Oxford and Uptime Global.
The event marked the introduction of a Decision Support System (DSS) to Karnataka State, developed in collaboration with the University of Oxford and Uptime Global. This system is designed to enhance operational efficiency, ensure financial viability, and promote sustainable management of water resources for 400 multi-village schemes provide drinking water to over 10 million people in rural Karnataka.

Future work under this collaboration will institutionalize the DSS in Karnataka and explore opportunities to support other state governments with similar commitments to ensure the sustainable delivery of the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide a functional household tap connections to every rural home in India.
