Tsion’s research explores institutional barriers to school-based water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in Zambia, focusing on how these barriers shape data governance and decision-making in service delivery. Her work aims to generate insights that support sectoral coordination and WASH provision in educational settings. She is also a research assistant with the 100 Million Initiative on the project Implementing Professional Service Provider Models for Safe Drinking Water. Before starting her DPhil, Tsion completed an MSc in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford’s School of Geography and the Environment.
